In season now: autumn
October on the parade is English apple season. Cox for sharpness, Gala for sweetness, Bramleys for the crumble. Strawberries are still coming through and still tasting of summer, the cauliflowers have gone purple and yellow, and the roasting veg is in for Sunday.

English Cox apples
Sharp, crisp and full of flavour. The eating apple of the season.

English Gala apples
Crisp, juicy and super sweet. Probably our best seller.

Bramley cooking apples
Apple pie or apple crumble? These will do the job.

Strawberries
The season is still going strong and they are still tasting great. Pure sweetness.

Purple and yellow cauliflowers
Serious colour on the plate, slightly sweeter with a mild nutty flavour.

Roasting veg
Parsnips, carrots, squash, potatoes, sprouts and red cabbage for the Sunday roast.
