Salad that is still crisp when you get it home
Salad is on the sign over the door for a reason. It is the quickest thing in the shop to go limp and the thing we are most careful to buy fresh every morning.
Salad at the shop
Little Gem, Cos, round and iceberg lettuces, rocket and mixed leaves, watercress, tomatoes of several kinds including vine and cherry, cucumbers, celery, radishes, spring onions, beetroot, fennel, avocados that are ready to eat, peppers, and the herbs that finish a salad: flat-leaf parsley, coriander, mint, basil and dill. In summer we add English tomatoes and cucumbers; in winter chicory, radicchio and the sturdier leaves.

How ripe are the avocados?
We keep some ready for today and some for later in the week, and we will tell you which is which. Press gently at the top, not the middle.
Do you do salad for events or offices?
Yes. Tell us numbers and the day and we will put together a salad box or a mixed fruit and salad order and deliver it.
